Lowbanks is a punk/garage rock trio from Atlanta, Georgia founded in 2011 by vocalist/guitarist John Graffo and drummer Grey Duddleston when the two were renting a house together in south Atlanta. Both had played in various bands throughout high school and were anxious to get back to playing live. The two began discussing musical influences and developed a unique and aggressive style of garage music. Solidifying their lineup, Christian Self was added on bass in 2012. Throughout 2012/early 2013, Lowbanks cycled through a few lead guitarists before settling on working as a trio. In April 2013, they released their debut EP “Lowbanks Forever”. Following the release, they focused on playing shows, cultivating an energetic and exciting live performance, and building a larger fanbase, while simultaneously exploring new influences and shifting towards a more punk-inspired sound.
