From the tender age of five Shweta's interest in music was ignited through constant exposure to classical Indian Carnatic music. Further developed and nurtured by her grandmother, this interest slowly grew into an obsession and expanded to include a number of different musical styles. She first dabbled in song writing during her early teens and has since been perfecting and refining the art to create the ethereal, down tempo melodies featured in her latest music. The year 2014 saw Shweta's transformation under the stage name of Xylo, in which a fateful meeting with her current producer Elliott Treves brought the perfect complement to her music. This partnership allowed her music to thrive and gave rise to her debut EP, Arrow. The compelling EP features a variety of sounds, from the powerful and striking drum beat of the first single, Colours to the minimalist yet alluring piece that is The Hurt (to be released). Xylo will be bringing her set to venues around Melbourne in the near future.
